I am a freelance Technical Communications specialist whose focus is technical and copy writing, translation and consulting. I help institutions organize their communications with a focus on audience analysis, subject matter research and content development. I began as a technical writer in the late 1990’s and as I picked up skills like project management, software testing and programming (just to name a few) that title became a little too limiting. Of course, all writers have a passion for learning and disseminating information and I am no different. However, recently the focus on writing marketing, technical and copy documentation also became a little too limiting and the result is this blog.

You can expect a few posts to this blog daily and for me to respond to comments within hours.

I am an American citizen who has lived in Germany since 2000. I come from a large family of 9 brothers and sisters, and have two children Lionel and Noah whose names are combined to form the title for this blog. You can also find me on Facebook, Myspace and Blogger. I havent as yet found a suitable use for Twitter, but that will come. The subjects you will see on this blog will generally be the following:

  • Entertainment and popular culture
  • Sports
  • Politics
  • Freelancing
  • Technology
  • Communications
  • Relationships
  • People
  • Analysis
  • Expatriate life
  • Intercultural differences
  • Family
  • Religion
  • Life

As mentioned before my focus as a writer is the audience. I won’t pander, however I hope to receive input from honest sources and reliable contributors. If you have any useful, interesting or otherwise noteworthy information, or simply want to contribute, please email me at

Make no mistake, it is very important that you are understood –
